Posted here are some easy knitting instructions for beginners. Originally, circular knitting was done using a set of four or five double-pointed knitting needles.
Have you ever looked at something knitted? Knitting is the delicate balance of holding needles and continuously feeding yarn until a pattern emerges. In spinning, the fibers are twisted so that the yarn resists breaking under tension; the twisting may be done in either direction, resulting in an Z-twist or S-twist yarn.
Plied yarns may themselves be plied together, producing cabled yarns or multi-stranded yarns. When you complete a lovely, warm sweater made with your own hands, you can proudly wear it and explain that you knitted it yourself. You must work on it consistently to complete a project.
Plenty of finished knitting projects never use more than a single colour of yarn, but there are many ways to work in multiple colors. It is common practice to save the yarn band for future reference, especially if additional skeins must be purchased.
Even if you're a pretty proficient knitter, this isn't the time to learn a new technique or work with a skinny fingering-weight yarn that will take forever to knit up. Be sure to try using other available resources, such as local craft and hobby stores.
