Like weaving, knitting is a technique for producing a two-dimensional fabric from a one-dimensional yarn or thread. Let me start by introducing you to the five stitch types that I believe are at the very heart of knitting!
When it's time to move on to a more difficult stitch, try out the party wrap pattern. Stockinette Stitch, also called Stocking Stitch is the most widely used stitch for knitted projects. As far as the patterns are concerned you should remember that the pattern and the ply should be the same, so use four ply yarn for a four ply pattern and Aran' yarn for an Aran' pattern.
It is also best to use the basic knitting stitches, just knit and purl until you are use to knitting. In securing the previous stitch in a wale, the next stitch can pass through the previous loop either from below or above. Knitting may be hand made or machine made.
The third needle type consists of circular needles, which are long, flexible double-pointed needles. This transformation may be done by hand, or with a device known as a ballwinder.
It will just some time at the beginning, but you will learn and get experience. You will have only one new stitch from two.
